Just a quick one. We have a 2 night stay in a Travelodge next weekend that we cannot use so I'm sticking it on Ebay. I take it I just forward the email on after payment has been received, or am I being a bit thick??
Any advice would be appreciated

Be careful with Travelodge, any damage to the room and they will come to you to pay the clean up and repair.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hmmm, maybe best to cut my losses. There are an awful lot on Ebay. I do use Travelodge quite a bit for other hotels.
Thanks for the help0 -
Hi,
was it a Saver Room, so no refund?0 -

If you have a Flexible booking you can change your booking to a later date - a Saver or Sale booking will cost you £5 to change to a different date at the same rate and at the same hotel (I don't know if this helps you at all?) Hope you don't lose too badly on it.

It was a saver room we booked in Feb. The rooms are now £160 each. It's Battersea over Wimbledon Finals weekend! We paid £72.00 all in. I was hoping to recoup someback but not if I could end up with bother. Glad I posted0

I saw your post and was curious as I'd not thought about rooms on ebay so went straight off to have a look. There were 2 listings where the auction end date was after the travelodge night's stay which is a bit odd! It occurred to me that I'd never sell a room on there because of being responsible for any damage.
Could you let someone you know and trust use the room for a weekend away? Seems a shame to waste it.Many thanks to everyone who posts competitions and works so hard to provide all the answers!

k'inell! Did you try to move the dates - or you never know, you may want to go to Battersea one weekend :-)
Might be worth contacting them anyway, they may be able to re-sell the room to someone who needs to be there that weekend? Worth a phone call.0 -
I wouldn't use the room again as we are in Newcastle. I think I may give them a ring or drop them a line. they could have 2 empty rooms or another £226. (just checked, they've come down a tad!)0

I doubt that they will leave the rooms empty, if you have not checked in by a certain time they will release them for use, hotels usually overbook as a matter of course.0
