Don't do it.
Why on earth do you want to buy it anyway?
It will cost more in repairs than you will save in rent.0 -

Not sure what you mean.
Are you asking how long it will take as a tenant to be offered the RTB the property they live in?
OR
How long does the RTB process take from start to finish when you are buying it?
Does it have anything to do with your wife buying the property mentioned here:

Are you sure? I thought that Housing Associations no longer allowed the right to acquire.
Right to buy is through the Local Authority.0 -

They still do and what's more they've recently increased the discount in some places. Where I live in London the discount is now up to 100 grand.0 -

The high discounts are only for council homes under Right to Buy (RTB). The Right to Acquire (RTA) scheme are homes sold by Housing Associations - the maximum discount they offer is £16k.0 -
Dovah-diva is 100% correct.
The other comments about whether leasehold acquisitions are a good idea are certainly worth considering - many such acquisitions are a future nightmare.
From initial enquiry to completion will typically take 4 months (or more) !Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
