  • If your wife is buying the house, why are you and your mum having to provide the purchase price?

  • With regard to bringing cash into the uk you can bring upto 10,000 euros (Not pounds) without it being declared. If you are bringing more than that in you need to fill out a c9011 and submit that at the airport or port but make sure you keep a carbon or a copy if you print it off. It will also be useful to bring full documentation of where the money has come from and if from your mothers bank ensure you have all the details to hand.

They will want to be sure that it is not being used for any illegal transactions so I would suggest getting a letter from the local council or any documentation that you have regarding the purchase or prospective purchase and all of their contact details as it will make your life a lot easier coming back into the uk and hopefully will stop you being stuck there for hours.

Not if your names not on it, it isn't.

So if you split with your wife, she would keep the house and you would be homeless.

Why are you not buying the house ?
