I think we can rule out a parallel import - there's a dent in the o/s/f wing so that side's not as straight as the other.
As for the factory fit Tottie, he'd had that removed and fitted some aftermarket thing that's a bit loud for my taste but good point about the risk of removal! Luckily I'll be keeping well below 88mph because I really don't want to have to start another thread about a speeding ticket!
I've now spoken to CAB and TS and they've said I should send a LBA but I'm really not sure that's right - you don't see the Army sending people letters before an action (that'd just be silly) and, anyway, he'll know I'm bluffing cos how can I start an effective action without those weapon mounts?0 -

Not to worry, here's a DIY Guide for fitting a pistol holster on a BMW. I would imagine a Peugeot is similar:-

Turns out it was in the spare gearbox that was sitting in the boot all along! This thread can't be for real, right?
I guess the moral is that, as long as you get roughly what you paid (or in this case swapped) for, it's a bit silly to go looking for spurious reasons to complain.
Known issues with the car were:
5th gear popping out
water loss (un traced)
saggy headlining
blower fan only working on full
driver's electric window not working
Speedo not working (cab;e disconnected by accident and a git to reconnect)
Unknown cambelt history, so change advisable
It also developed a fuel leak from its filter housing shortly after we got it home and we've discovered that the aircon doesn't work (probably a leaky condenser).
I'm lucky that I'm happy to do the work myself so all those have been sorted, plus a service, for a total of about £120 in parts - which included a new water pump (the cause of the water loss). Needing the unexpected pump was a little annoying.
For that, we've got a car that drives well, has 12 months MOT, was giving 40mpg without 5th gear (now sorted), we've already clocked up close on 1k miles in and we know is up-to-date on the important stuff.
Is it worth complaining now about the missing armament adaptations? Probably not really!0
