Also, I really think I could do with getting some new straighteners. My current ones are starting to lose their effect. Can anyone recommend some good ones around the £50 mark? I can't being myself to spend GHD prices!

Sorry I'm just getting around to replying now, hope I'm not too late...

I got the Babyliss Pro Elegance ones last year and I love them, they straighten my hair very easily and quickly and my hair stays straight all day (AND they're pink :) ). They are as effective as GHDs IMO, though I guess it might depend on your hair type - mine is long, fine (but lots of it!) and naturally a bit wavy.

Never tried posting a link before, but here goes:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0058N77XW

When I got them they were RRP £80 but most places seemed to be selling at half price, as still seems to be the case.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks sundaysgirl just read some of the reviews, and they sound really good! I've not bought anything yet - kept forgetting my advantage card at B**ts and didn't want to lose out on the points!

Been having a big clear out and am weighing up tossing a few toiletries... Used them a few times, but they either contain sulfates, or weren't very good. I just don't like the idea of wasting them!

Hi minicooper, is there anything amongst the "unwanted" that you can re-purpose? e.g. shampoo, body wash, shower gel can clean sinks and loos also use for hand washing lingerie, wool, cashmere, silk, conditioner for shaving (never buy dedicated products now), also use as fabric conditioner for hand washing. HTH.:) I even used some "gone off" body lotion to clean my garden tools and handbags (tried it on the inside of the bags first just in case:eek:)

Have already done what I can. It's things like nail varnish, lip gloss, concealer, hair shine balm and spray on leave in conditioner that I have left now, and I just can't think of any other uses for them!
