Skys own offer is that thet arre actually offering it free for a year then you pay £3 a month after that?

A great disinsentive, you don't need or want it.
Get yourself Microsoft Security Esentials - free, or say Avast which people on here recommend.
If you want to pay, a one licence 3 PC version of NIS is less than £25.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • im with sky fibre and haven't even bothered installing Mcafee, i have the free windows security packs they do, and avg free edition and haven't had any problems with virus' or malware

Thou shalt only have one antivirus programme on your PC, AV programmes do not play nicely with each other.

McCrappy doesn't even play nicely on it's own...the idea of paying £36pa on a subscription basis for it is insane.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Or Avast, Avira.
Alternatively, Kaspersky is free with Barclays online banking.
