Egg didn't send statements done on line which I never checked. Also I believe the box was pre ticked which I didn't no. Sorry if u think I am lying but if I didn't no I had it and it was added automatically u dont see how it's my fault. I wouldn't have bought it as didn't need it!
    Thanks

Nobody is accusing you of "lying", but the fact is that if you didn't check statements you can blame no one other than yourself for that. The Bank still issued the statements monthly.
In addition, what evidence do you have that the PPI tick box was pre-populated?

Zero here to indicate a mis-sale

Go for it, put your claim in, you have nothing to lose. Apparently the box was pre-ticked before a certain year 2002-03 not sure which. That's what I've read on this site from previous posters giving advice.
Hope you get a good result :)

Although many lenders did use pre-ticked boxes on their online applications, there is no way to determine whether the OP's application had this feature. The Banks used this very sporadically before agreeing to end the practice completely in July 2007.

As EGG seemed to be one of the main online banks that did, if I was disneypls I would go ahead with my claim and see what happens. For the price of a stamp it's worth it.
