Well i brought my perfect pair and had them dyed..they match them to the exact colour you want if you send them a sample, and the service was amazing, from placing my order, to getting the shoes to try on, sending them back and having hem colour match dyed only took a week! - if you would like contact details for them, pm me x

My shoes were platform peep toes from new look with a tropical palm and flower print all over them, I then had then 'blinged' around the flowers and our initials put on the bottom, everyone loved them :)

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

I had a full length dress and has bright hot pink shoes underneath. I loved them and all my guest agreed it was very me!!

Same here, although mine had multi coloured heels. It gave me so much glee to go against the norm :D

I have bought these. I already have a pair and they are so comfy so I bought another in a different colour way.

Which part are you unsure about? If its bright coloured shoes, I would maybe buy some now and wear them at every oportunity. If you feel happy in them and have a confidence boost then go for it. If you don't have the courage then you'll know for your wedding.

You want to feel amazing on your day, being self concious isn't a good idea.

I wore red shoes, but I love red and wear coloured shoes all the time. That may be the same for others on here, so I'd defo try being more courageous before your big day.

I love these ones - I considered them myself but in the end went for these http://www.retrotogo.com/2012/02/home-sweet-home-shoes-from-miss-l-fire.html
They don't go with anything else I'm wearing or the colour theme but I love them to bits and they're very "me". I think it'll be great to be able to wear them afterwards too :)

My best friend had a knee length dress and rose coloured suede stilettos - amazing.
i am having a knee length dress and these irregular choice shoes which are kind of matchy with my ivory dress:

I always kind of thought that the point of wearing a tea length dress was to show off some fabulous shoes! :)

I wore a full length dress but had a gorgeous pair of blue shoes that I showed off at every opportunity. They're still on display in my spare room and every so often I'll wear them for a special occasion - not something you can really do with traditional ivory bridal shoes. :)

    1) I wouldn't be holding/wearing something to tie them in to my outfit for the majority of the day. I would have looked fine when I was holding my flowers (which were the colour) but after that when I was literally just wearing the dress (a strapless number with no shrug), and not near anyone else in those colours I think coloured shoes would have looked odd...

I can't say I see an issue with this ^^. :o You could say the same about a groomsman wearing a pink tie, it makes sense and looks fabulous as part of the wedding party, but on his own he's just a bloke in a pink tie! If you want to match your shoes to the bridesmaids (which I think is a lovely idea) then it'll tie the whole group together and the photos will look great. If your H2B is also wearing that colour it matches you to him... and so on! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
