Hope someone can advise in my situation
The case refers to three tickets issued last year around March in a supermarket car park owned by the landlord we rent a small office from with an allocated parking space. The allocated parking was un available due to road works so we parked at the supermarket during that time and received three tickets.
The advice from our landlord was not to worry about them so we left it but then got endless calls over a long time chasing it. We asked them not to telephone but to put everything in writing which was ignored. We then spoke with the landlord who advised us to write and explain and offer a small payment towards any wasted admin time so we wrote explaining the situation to the owner of the car park management company.
In march We received a letter confirming receipt of our letter and informing us that it was on hold pending review and that they would inform us of the outcome. A couple more phone calls came so we referred to this letter and asked the, to reconfirm it was on hold and being reviewed which they did .a second identical letter.
Out of the blue we got a letter from sobell indicating they were going to proceed with a claim. This was shortly followed by a letter from Northampton. Very concerned at this point I contacted the court and was advised to speak to the owner of the car park operating company to see if it could be resolved and I also spoke with the DCA who confirmed that for their point of view it hadn't even got to that stage and was still on hold. The owner said he would look into it and call back which he didnt so I chased him again and he said again he'd call but didnt. turns out there are also two different DCAs on the case for collection!! nervous of time going I filed a defence with pretty much the info above.
Today I received a letter from Graham White again saying that t,hey had received the defence and wish to proceed with a claim in my local court. Please can anyone advise??
We have communicated, attempted to cover any reasonable costs of theirs and been told to await a reply so have no idea how they can proceed with this
Thank you for any advice
P.s. please tell me quickly if this is too much info - sorry - new here
Hi There just read your thread and wished I'd seen it sooner.....Im sure you're now aware that Sobell T/a Graham White no longer represent Roxburghe (Which I first reported on cag, although I do smell a rat !) The only idle threats you will get is from roxburghe's legal trainee Mizbah who will threaten everything but not actually win anything....See my other threads on cag (Same user name under the heading graham white / sobell lose again in court.)..If your case does get to court which I very much doubt it will, ask the court to hold them in contempt for failure and refusal to pay a Court Judgement in Jan 2013 and even tried to appeal ha ha, which I will give you more info on later...Do not pay a penny, and speak to nobody on the phone.... hope this helps... regards SM:beer:0
