Yes it is real. Made a mistake on my credit card short paid them £1.53 by the due date. Now charged £24.00 late payment charge and over limit charge. Lloyds refused to refund the charges due to me being 1 day late with a payment in the previous 6 months Be really careful. Made official complaint they decided to refund me…

I expect that some also realise that the cost of handling an ongoing complaint often exceeds the cost of the refund.
