I'm trying to figure out the logic of the complaint here. When I shop (mainly online) I'll try eBay & Amazon then Google shopping and find the lowest price for what I'm buying. Then I open up a different browser & use Topcashback if possible & pay with a cashback credit card. Who cares what a shop said it was beforehand? Surely all that matters is the price you are paying now and whether that is good value?
I've seen this sort of complaint loads of times. If all the people who make this complaint watch Bid TV/Price drop TV do they all buy every single item all evening because it's being sold for £10 when the starting price was £500?!?0 -

Because it's lying, or at least being devious with the truth.0 -
On the other hand, I've purchased items from the catalogue in store and found the actual price to be a lot lower, which is a nice bonus.
It's only a fiver, don't waste your life on it.Pants0 -

Why is it that & not simply an oversight or a mistake? Which it is bound to be!0 -
At least Argos generally show the lowest price the item has been on sale for as well as the "was" and "reduced" price,0

If something is worth it to you then buy it, if not then don'tt0 -

If it was an oversight or mistake they would have been able to tell the OP this, and correct it. Instead they attempted to justify their deception.0
