Thanks all for your replies. I will put the picnic blanket on it as it has plastic on the back and I'll have to give the seat a wash when I can.
Bloody annoying though.
So you expected Aldi to valet the seat before the kids sat on it... But you do not have the time to do it
Perhaps you should have done it as soon as you got home and realised.
Who knows what that stuff will do to the internals or covering of the seat.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Whether he's stupid or not isn't the issue surely? The lid should have been secure, supposing it was bleach? It's perfectly reasonable to expect a decent level of packaging.
Perhaps the lid was secure and another customer unsecured it. Are they supposed to wander around the store constantly checking to make sure lids are on correctly?
Its a bit like putting glass items next to your jack with room to roll around/move then blaming the supermarket when it smashes/cracks after hitting off the jack.
It is annoying but sometimes common sense really should prevail.
But being constructive....OP you get waterproof/wipe clean seat covers and boot mats/shopping container things. I have a mat in the back of mine for the shopping (so if anything does break/spill, can just lift out the mat and clean that as opposed to having to try and clean the car itself) and seat covers are for the dogs/kids
Might sound a bit silly but not to silly when it comes time to sell the car and its upholstery/carpets are in immaculate conditionYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
