BYUXE is compressed?

Dear all,
I have been having trouble with my hard drive eating up space quickly. I kind of got it working but this morning windows 7 is not starting. Instead I just get this message
BYUXE is compressed, any help advice most appreciated.

What do you mean you kind of got it working, did you do something to try and increase the free space available?

Yes I deleted number of files, compressed the local'c' drive. Got on the internet downloaded explorer, and whatever I thought I needed checkecked my mail, bought lottery ticket etc.
Wife used Facebook later and switched off PC. This morning it will not switch on. I don't remember how to switch it on in SAFE mode.

Keep pressing F8 for advanced boot options including safe mode.

Do you get the same message of BYUXE is compressed everytime you try to boot?

Note: in previous post I meant keep tapping F8. Not sure it works if you just keep it pressed

I was tapping F8 but ended with the same message. May be windows is not starting?
I now have a window saying select boot device, safe mode is not one.

Do you know if Hitachi v540 is the hard drive, i.e. do you know if you have a Hitachi drive in the PC? ( it is a PC and not a laptop, yes?)
