Are there honest broadband comparison websites?

Options
Please correct me if I am wrong but it looks like there is no easy way to find a landline+broadband deal from comparison sites. Most of the deals are few pounds for first several months then huge price thereafter and of course the precondition is to buy a landline from the same ISP for not very competitive price. I have not found any comparison sites which would 'honestly' sort deals by real costs.

Is there a comparison site which just sorts deals by the total price which includes set up fees plus landline fees + broadband fee for first 12 months?
Do comparison sites work for us or for telecoms?

comparison sites work for themselves, earning a small fortune for referrals - i.e. just look at what you can get through cashback sites if you do the work yourself.

besides virgin media, all others generally need you to have a telephone line so this needs taking into account, there just looking to bundle something that you need to have.. Generally look at the fees \ terms and ongoing costs.. not sure whats so confusing with it ?

Not confusing but hassle. I need to open every deal and see the small print instead of just click on 'sort by genuine costs' button.

they are not all they are cracked up to be and i think they are paid by the ISP for referrals so their independence is very questionable.

I get tonnes of junk mail with cheap broadband offers but they all go straight in the bin now, I don't bother reading them cos the headline price is essentially meaningless so it's just a waste of time finding out its a bad deal anyway when you read the details.
