Hi, just seen on TalkTalk Mobile they currently have selected smartphones from £2.50 a month for 6 months. 3 packages to choose from on a 24 month contract. You have to be a Talk Talk customer to get the deal.

I got the Blackberry Curve 9320 for £3.75 for 6 months, then £15 a month after for 18 months. Far better deal for me personally compared to what i'm on now. Hope this helps someone :)

Don't forget cashback websites - Topcashback is currently doing £40 cashback, so if it pays out its a great deal.

Offer ends in 5 days time so be quick!

Don't forget Quidco - it's currently £15 cashback for all contract mobiles through Talk Talk, so that's the first 6 months of your deal for free :money:

  • I have just switched over to Talk Talk mobile from Orange because of the Smartphone offer at £5 a month.

The experience was dreadful - unable to use new number for a while and it took nearly two weeks to transfer over the old number because of problems at Talk Talk, not Orange.

Talk Talk refused to let me speak to a supervisor as they don't do that, refused to call me back as they don't do that either, were economical with the truth at times and failed to keep me informed at any time of what was happening.

So, cheap they may be, but would I switch again to Talk Talk - certainly not!
  • That's why they are so cheap...service is dreadful....

I moved from Orange broadband to Talk Talk broadband a year ago. Orange service was appalling and deceitful. It took 6 months for them to admit the truth and they paid me for the time I wasted after they needlessly pestered me.

Talk Talk are better for me and at least they help when I correspond by letter. I never phone as the language barrier just wastes time and money.

The "Couldn't care less - get rid of you" service seems to be the industry standard for telecoms companies. And they make a tidy profit out of keeping you hanging on the phone to sort out their errors.

I'm with 02 mobile on their £10 per month tariff and their staff are helpful but the system isn't. I've not been able to access my account online since I signed up 8 months ago. No matter how many passwords the customer service sends, it doesn't let me in.

I think I'll give this Talk Talk offer a go. Thanks for the tip. But I wonder whether 02 will allow me to cancel? Maybe at some kind of cost?

I did check out reviews of TalkTalk mobile before taking out the deal, and only saw good things. I did check first what the signal in my area is like and luckily it's brilliant. I've had broadband with TalkTalk for over 2 years now and have never had any problems with them. Fingers crossed its all okay, i just need to cancel my o2 number now =/

However on the plus, my phone was due to be delivered on Monday and i received it earlier today. So far so good!
  • I've recently changed my broadband from talktalk at the end of my contract. They're great when everything's going ok but when you have a problem it's a whole different story. I've never experienced anything like it. They are unbelievably bad. I would never deal with them again.

I've heard customer services are hard to deal with, but I feel I should offer another view for balance.
In March this year, I transferred from Orange to Talk Talk taking my mobile number with me. When my phone arrived, I followed the steps to activate and was up and running on my old number within an hour tops. Quidco successfully tracked and paid, and I've had no problems since.

I'd recommend Talk Talk based on my experience thus far, rather than wasting money on the major networks unless you want the latest phone in which case you're not worried about cost anyway.
