Moved home and have no signal with EE

Hi there,
I moved house recently and was disappointed to find that my EE iPhone 5 has no signal and is virtually impossible to send/receive calls or texts (despite the EE coverage map saying signal would be fine).
Currently I am having to leave the house and walk a little down the road to be able to make calls, and all messaging has to be done via whatsapp through our internet - which is really inconvenient.
I'm going to call EE to discuss this and was wondering whether anyone has had a similar experience?
Thanks in advance

See if EE can provide you with a signal box, which will plug into your WI-FI router via ethernet to enable your phone to get reception via the internet (VOIP effectively, like Skype).
Beyond that, there won't be much they will be able to do really. It could be that EE are doing work in your area (as they are doing alot of upgrade work to move to 4G and also beef up 2G/E) then it could be temporary.0 -
Not a lot you can do to be honest
Not EE thought you moved house
So am afraid you are stuck with your problem unless EE wants to give you a good will and cancel your contract or lower it down.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -

I'm not sure what you are asking or what you want.
EE probably didn't tell you to move to the new house, nor do they guarantee to provide 100% coverage of the country, especially not indoors where the build materials can influence signal strength.====0 -

Thanks in advancePlease excuse my bad spelling and missing letters-I post here using either my iPhone or rathr rubbishy netbook, neither of whch have excellent keyboards! Sorry!0 -
they never guarantee signal indoors even if they map says its a goo coverage area-i managed to get a signal box from ee but it took quite a while and had to be escalated a few times before they gave me oneWhat goes around-comes around0

I had the same problem with TMobile. No signal inside or outside and a short walk to get one.
They halved the rental until the end of the contract(about 10 months) with very little pushing.0 -
Signal box is to enhance indoor coverage, where a local old Orange site has been decommissioned EE will give one out, accept this and you are left with a cordless phone powered by a landline with broadband you could easily just buy a cordless phone for.
So if this applies to you, enforce cancellation as they removed the Orange site and thus access to the contracted service.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

Indeed, EE did not tell me to move house - thank you so much for reminding me of this. Excuse me while I get back to solving the problem with the helpful comments from other members.0 -
It's quite possible that when you looked around the house, there was a signal on EE, and after EE decommissioned lots of transmitters recently, there was no signal when you moved in. Find out whether this was the case, as it would help your cause.0
