EuroCarParts and Yodel....

  • in essence its not ECP that are fault for deliveries, its the courier, write to ECP main office and show them this thread, it may prompt them to drop yodel and use UPS instead.

if you have issues with deliveries, then its yodel, so complain to ECP offices so they know its a wide spread common problem rather than few here and there spread over a year so they can act upon it.

ECP should be issueing a refund and chasing courier for the product or claim on the insurance they have with yodel only after checking that the delivery had not been signed for.

if ECP can find your address on their system yodel should be able to google map it and supply the driver with a printed map they also carry physical maps.

Thanks for all the advice. In the end I just posted the facts on their Facebook account and it seems to have pushed them into action (publicly viewable y'see...!)

The issue really was that the person I spoke to at ECP said that if Yodel did not deliver back to them (which seems to be par for the course), they would have to make a claim against them to get the costs back. The implication was that if Yodel failed to return the item, I would receive no refund.

At no point was a guaranteed refund offered.

Still it's at least worth knowing that ECP do have public Facebook page you can post to...

I know ECP are getting worse by the day, but at what point did you contract Yodel to do anything for you? It's ECPs problem, you are not getting the goods you have ordered from ECP and it's down to them to fix or refund.

I waited 12 days for delivery then called ECP who told me Yodel had tried and failed to find my house 3 times before claiming it didn't exist even though it shows up in the ECP postcodes. I got a tracking number, tried using the Yodel chat facility 5 times (ignored each time), then tried calling them 3 times before giving up on the 14p/minute line.

Just as a quick update & in case anyone else has issues. I got another text from Yodel this morning informing them that the part was *still* at their facility in Middleton. This was 14 days after cancelling with ECP and being assured by them that they would ask Yodel to return the item to them.

I updated ECP's Facebook page with the facts (& only the facts..). Just been given a refund by the ECP customer service manager. The guy must have just materialised as every time I tried to speak to him before he was busy and never returned any calls. Amazing what happens when bad service is put into the public arena.

    Tried carparts4less last week....

Using UPS is a waste if they don't progress the orders. Ordered on a Monday for next day delivery.

Didn't turn up, phone call to customer services and it turned out the person dealing with the orders took the afternoon off - hence no orders through.

Parts dispatched to UPS Tuesday, no parts arrived Wednesday. Called again - customer services confirmed parts had left them but could not tell me when to expect delivery.

Parts turned up Thursday. Complaint to customer services a waste of time. Shame really, won't use them again.

    westwood - Here's a thought.

Is there possibly some difficulty/ambiguity with your postcode?

Not trying to excuse Yodel for 1 second, but what happens when you 'google' your postcode - do you get the correct location on the map.

I know mine didn't - my postcode gave a named house up a private road - half a mile away.

I reported it to google and the corrected it - took a while though.
