Try Aldi's version of Pringles called "Stackers", they are lovely!

Thanks for the info, no Aldi near me though. My local supermarkets consists of a Waitrose and a Sainsburys.

Waitrose were great to us when they forgot two things from our home delivery (a meat pie and some bacon). My man was laid up with a slipped disc which is why we'd had the shopping delivered.

They sent a guy round personally the next day with a luxury meat pie and a carrier bagful of bacon... I dream about carrier bags full of bacon.

Almost as good as when the Blockbuster freezer (full of Haagen Dazs) broke and my friend told us to come quickly with some bin bags.
    Best Christmas Ever!

    Sorry, brain farted.

    :starmod:you're awesome.. act like it:starmod:

Can't resist quoting the late, great Alan Coren...

The Sainsburys is there to keep the riff-raff out of Waitrose....

execllent, I do feel slightly out of place when i'm not well dressed in waitrose.

and I know the self scan thing does "randomly" ask for a rescan but the one and only time I was told I needed a rescan was the day I was wearing bright pink trainers, jeans and a hoody (hood down mind, if that even makes a difference).

It was just after they'd set up the home delivery service, I think they probably had more invested in good service and publicity at the time.

Recently my OH was followed aisle by aisle around the store by a security guard (probably more for looking like Travis Bickle, as he's been shopping there every day since it opened about six years ago). He made a complaint via email and was told they'd investigate and get back to him. That was about four weeks ago now, he's still waiting.

Probably seems like a minor thing to complain about, but there's nothing more annoying than being treated one way when you're in a suit, and another when you're not.
Especially as, from what I've seen on most shoplifting documentaries, the people most likely to steal from them, generally look classically middle class.

    Damn, happened again, sorry.

  • I'd have complained as well.

I've just been re-scanned for the second time in less than a week, (again wearing my hoody, I know its hot outside but the freezer isle is so cold when you're in a strappy summer dress) if they re-scan me again any time too soon I will have to ask them about it.
