dont Talk Talk instead Walk Walk

Options
Bit of a techno-phobe but moving and need broadband. Looked at MSE and found Talk Talk deal with broadband and phone recommended as cheapest. I dont have an existing phone line so I phoned Talk Talk with my postcode to check line speed. Line speed check was all good and I was informed that I could have the same deal as on MSE plus some 'benefits' if I went ahead over the phone. Just about to give my card details when I decided just to double check that they were giving me the same deal (you know what coming.....!) Sure enough they were trying to charge me more(for the phone) and informed me that the MSE deal did not exist!!!
Very confused. Who is right???

Broadband, insurances, change of energy provider etc. etc. always go through a cashback site - eg TopCashBack or Quidco and order online. Phoning them will mean no cashback which can often be £50 or more.

Talk Talk is cheap, there is a reason for that.

Its dirt cheap purely because of its poor telephone support....the actual broadband is superb. BT or Sky won't touch many rural exchanges with a bargepole by upgrading exchanges to 21CN & LLU respectively so for many TalkTalk LLU is the only way to potentially get speeds > 8 meg. My advice is simple: if you don't mind using TalkTalk forum support then TT is an excellent choice. If excellent phone support is a must then go with a TT LLU reseller such as Xilo, Vivaciti or Goscomb but you will pay extra. Personally i'm very happy with TT and have just renewed my TT Plus package for another 12 months @ £5.75 pm. Oh and i work for TT :rotfl:
