B&Q messed my dulux paint?

Hi all,
I bought my wall paint from B&Q. The colour I wanted was Natural Taupe 4. They mixed it for us.

Its on my walls now - its almost white. You will struggle to notice the difference between the cieling colour (brilliant white) and the wall colour. If at all you manage to notice, it looks like a very slight tinge of pink! No where close to what the colour looks like on their website:(

I am heart broken and I'm not sure what can be done.

Is there possibility of colour mixing thing going wrong?

They do show it to you after they've mixed it at B&Q to check it's what you want - did they not do that for you?

Having said that there are some dulux paints that come out more pink than shows on the card - I was warned about it by one of the decorators when we were choosing colours. Did you try a tester pot first?

Looking at that colour I would think it should be a fair bit darker then just off white. It is possible the machine had a fault and did not dispense the correct amount of pigment.I would ask them to remix at there cost

Strange! The colour I chose has nothing to do with pink. It's a cream/brown shade.

It's not even off white! It's so close to white that it's hard to differentiate unless you really focus hard.

I've got natural taupe 3 on my hall walls and you can definitely 'see' the colour in it, it's a dark cream/taupe/brown type colour so number 4 should definitely be noticeable.

I agree with the previous poster that possibly an incorrect amount of pigment was dispensed. Maybe take pictures of the wall with the colour chart next to it to compare and take along with you?

Bizarre that you did the whole wall before you realised it was wrong.

We did 3 rooms! I was waiting for the final coat hoping to see the real colour. It looked weird from the start. But the bulb in my head took long to realize its not right.

I always buy tester pots first and compare them at different times of day . It usually works but once I misjudged when choosing a colour for a feature wall . My decorator did one coat and I could see that it was far too pale so I changed to a completely different colour .
