Anyone else getting an error on purchasing Vodafone SIM?

Hi,
Just trying to purchase a Vodafone SIM only deal online. Tried twice now on 2 different machines, and both times get to the final confirmation stage, then click the last button and get an error stating 'technical difficulties'.
I can't call to place the order as I was the £150 Quidco, it's not worth my while otherwise.
Just curious to know if anyone else is having the same issue?
Thanks.

Hi boots_babe,
If you've managed to place your order and would like to make sure it's tracked could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

Hi, thanks for replying. However the following has since happened:
- after retrying lots of times over a period of a day, on different browsers and different machines, I rang customer services
- they said no one else had reported the fault, so to just keep retrying.
- I asked if I could therefore report the fault, seeing as they were unaware of it, so that someone could fix it. No it's not possible to do. So in that case, when they told me no one else had reported the fault it was hardly surprising, given that they won't allow you to report a fault. Hmm. :-(
- Finally a day later, it worked, order completed, confirmation received.
- A day later, cancellation received.
Now I have not bothered to follow up this cancellation as I KNOW what it'll be. I was with Vodafone for years and years, until I eventually moved to someone else.
4 years ago, I tried to return to them, they cancelled the order with no word. Despite my best efforts, nobody could give me a reason or shed any light. Eventually, someone told me I had something silly like £2 owed on my old account.
This really annoyed me, as I have always paid via DD, and never cancel a DD until a good 3 months minimum after closing an account so there was no reason for a negative balance barring Vodafone error.
I also had a closing statement showing 0.00. After getting nowhere on the phone and round in circles etc, I wrote to complain.
As a result, I was advised that the small negative credit had been removed.
By this time, I had taken a contract with someone else. But now, this is the first time I have again tried to take a contract out.
I KNOW that it will be this same issue again, they will have failed to correctly clear the negative balance, even though they've told me they have.
Their loss. I can't be bothered any more. I wasted hours and days on this last time, and it's clearly got me nowhere so I'm not doing it again.0 -
Hi boots_babe,
Thanks for coming back to me.
Even though you've experienced difficulties in the past I don't think these will have been the reason for this recent order being cancelled.
I appreciate that you don't want to spend any more time dealing with this but if you change your mind let me know.
Kind regards,
Lee
