Always suspected it was Moneysupermarket . con
Nothing to suspect, it's all laid out in black & white
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/terms-conditions#energyclubMoneySupermarket.com Limited provides the energy comparison service, handles all provider switches, and processes all cashback due in connection with switches (where applicable). Cashback T&Cs apply - please see http://www.moneysupermarket.com/gas-and-electricity/cashback-terms-conditions/.0 -
No.
This is what it says...
"Hi there
Many thanks for your email to the Cheap Energy Club. www.moneysavingexpert.com/cheapenergyclub
It can take up to three months from the date you instructed the switch for your CEC account to be fully updated and any cashback due paid to you. If you are due any cashback please check your bank statements. Cashback will appear on your bank statement as ‘Utilities Cashback’ paid by MoneySupermarket.
If you do not receive your cashback or your CEC account has not updated within three months then please email us back.
I hope that helps."
From the link given in my previous post regarding cashback T&Cs
When will payment be made?
Payment will usually be made within 2-3 months (certain cases may take up to 6-months) after you complete your change. This allows sufficient time for the transfer to complete and the supplier to notify us this has happened.0 -

Lol what on earth could possibly take them 6 months? I strongly suspect this is a ploy to drag it out so long that customers forget they are owed the cashback.
I'm deeply disappointed with MSE for associating themselves with this kind of nonsense.
Of course I wouldn't expect anything better of the shyster energy firms.0 -

It's nothing to do with the energy companies, it's the policy of MoneySuperMarket.com ... who, if you were not aware, are the owners on this website too

Why have a policy of usually paying cashback within 3 months but randomly withholding some payments for a further 3 months?0

Cost Money soupermarkup £18,000,000 to buy MSE, got to get the money back somehow, they are not philanthropic. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Am I missing summat? I thought they bought it for £60 million plus a further £27 million in 3 years if certain criteria (which i would imagine are profit-based) are met. I know a lot of it was paid in shares but still.0 -
Like amaze-balls its worse than I thought.
£87,000,000 in cash and shares, I wonder why I thought it was £18M, after all thats peanuts. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
It's a shed load of money however you look at it. From the BBC report on the sale...
Now where did I go wrong?Under the terms of the deal, Mr Lewis, who started his website in 2003, will receive an initial £35m plus shares in MoneySupermarket.com worth £25m.
