The solicitors would definately say no so don't go through them, but if they are friends of friends than no harm in asking. We've had the keys to 2 properties ahead of completion, and we weren't friends with either vendor.Addicted to Facebook

If you know the vendor, then just ask them! The solicitors will say no, because until you've completed, the house is not yours!
Make sure you have insurance for your stuff in the house, because if it burns down before completion, then it could get complicated... :-oShould've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
as simple as coming on here and asking people you don't know, you could've had your answer by now from the people you do know!0

if you havent exchanged yet I would doubt they will give you the keys. look at it their way, they give you the keys, you move in and never bother exchanging. they have a heck of a time to get you OUT of the house again. OR if you were to damage it etc etc they have no recourse.
If you had already exchanged then you would have a good shout.0
