While we are talking about uninstalling things - I also seem to have some sort of McAfee security programme. I haven't paid for this one but it occasionally pops up to say all is secure.

Should I also uninstall this?

Mcafee Security Scan.

It's bundled with some other software and/or some program updates. It's little more than a marketing tool for Mcafee, so uninstall it.

Watch out for it when installing programs/updates in the future and opt out of its install.

Just to let you know I have (eventually) managed to download the Avast security. :beer:
