Hi all
The time of year has come again to renew the internet security thing!
I have always had Norton - until last year 360 -just had "internet security" last year.
Norton website to renew is £19.99 but Amazon have it at £15.40 or less.
The only thing is that the dsecription says -platform windows 7 and I have vista (old computer I know). Will this still work?

If you are getting an actual disc sent all you need to do is use the key provided with the disc, you don't have to uninstall/re-instal the product so it doesn't matter what the box says about ' platform'-you just renew the licence by tapping in the new key.0

Thanks for all the replies.
Do I detect a bit of ridicule from some that I am paying for security?
The problem is that I am a complete scaredy-cat and have always just used Norton.
I am tempted to try the free Avast but fear it might be a bit complicated.0 -
Chan, You Are Not Alone, tho.
If I can pick up NIS for £20 or less for 3 PCs I happy. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
not complicated at all
download avast from link above
uninstall norton
install avast, declining the bundled chrome installation tick box, and making sure you pick the free version if prompted, register by right clicking on the avast icon near the clock, it's free for a year, after the year is up, you will get prompted to re-register for another free year. machine might run better as a result too.!!

Thanks for the advice - I'm actually determined to try this despite my tech-phobia!
I have another month before Norton runs out but you should prepare yourself for a squealing, panicked message if I mess it up
