Cannot get reply from Ryanair. What to do?

Hi,

Long story short.

We was some of the people that got stuck on holiday thanks to the french air strike not long ago.

Ryanair said that we could claim expenses once back in the UK.

I have sent them off along with a complaint about a flight that was delayed longer than 3 hours. I sent these to their fax and PO box address.

Im just wondering what i can do or who i can go to if Ryanair are ignoring or just not bothering contacting me back. It makes it difficult to contact them when they only have fax and PO box address (to which you cannot get a recorded letter sent).

I gave them 14 days to reply which i think is fair. the cut off date is 1st July.

Any advise if i dont hear from them by then?

Thanks

They are probably dealing with hundreds of people like you, I would defintely give them longer than 2 weeks.

    Thank you both for replies.

Typical Ryanair customer service. How long do you think is fair considering the information you just posted? Surely all passengers effected from the french strike will be dealt with before the portugal one.

I was also trying to ask if how i can tell if they have recieved my info. It makes it very difficult for angry customers.

    Thanks again

Given the many many thousands of claims that have to be dealt with by real people not machines how long do you think it will take?
It wasn't Ryanair who were on strike they just get lumbered with the unpaid admin caused by the French ATC.

Some years ago, I was delayed on Ryanair because of ATC problems (so not the airline's fault). I submitted my claim and receipts by post in the way they told me to do, and they settled everything after about six weeks. I thought that was reasonable.

I hope that you sent your claim in using recorded delivery, so the RM on-line tracking will confirm that it was received. And I think it would be reasonable to allow them a couple of months to process your claim: you are not the only person in that situation!

I have sent a fax which i have had a confirmation from my fax machine that it has been sent.

You cannot send a recorded signed for letter to a PO box address. The best i had to settle for was a 1st class Int air mail. So i cant do any more than that.

    Disturbing.

So Ryanair could claim that they never received the receipts, and could quite reasonably refuse to pay out without receipts.

I now understand why you are concerned.
