o2 phones, can you use on other networks.

I have an sony ericsson on o2 and will be upgrading soon so will be looking to sell.

Being on o2 is anyone aware if they lock their phones to certain networks, (I know orange do) but my o2 handset has worked with vodaphone/virgin and t-mobile.

I'm basically wondering if I can advertise my phone as unlocked to all networks.

If it works on Vodafone,Virgin/T-Mobile and O2 then its safe to say the phone is unlocked and you can advertise it as unlocked, not all O2 handsets are unlocked but phones from the Car Phone Warehouse do usually come unlocked to all networks.

o2 don't lock their phones to any network.

i got given an o2 k700i, all the padlocks in the unlock menu were unlocked and it only worked on vodafone and o2

O2 Pay&Go are locked, contracts are Unlocked :beer:

unlocked. my bf just got a k810i which he sold to me for me to use on t mobile until i get my vodafone sim
