Cold calling ideas needed

Its not OK to be rude or abusive, not even to a cold caller. And no, I don't work in that industry.
When you realize its a cold caller. "I'm not interested, can you please remove me from your dialing list." Then hang up.0 -

I've tried that. 18 times. Hence my desire to have a little fun. And I'm about to give up repeating that I asked for non-abusive suggestions.0 -

Missing - the - point !!!!!!
"when you realise its a cold caller..." means you have wasted 1 minute of your life getting up and going to the phone, answering it and trying to get a word in to say all that.
When they are not LEGALLY calling you, it should never have happened, your on TPS so you don't need to ask them to take you off their list - Legally you must not be on their list in the first place!!!
Now that is SIMPLE!0 -
Try the Telephone Preference Service, that should do the trick.
Works perfectly - in an alternative dimension!!! here on Earth they are ignoring it..... next bright idea????0 -

You are free to waste a couple more minutes on a complaint.0 -

They are only doing their job
No, the simple idea is not god enough. Waste their time and make their activities far less efficient. 'Live and let live' will only bring on more of the same.Cold Callers at the door, don't answer.
Cold Callers on the phone, hang up
Simple. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
What trick? Discovering the limitations of naivety?Try the Telephone Preference Service, that should do the trick. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
The point is that you are making is the argument that 'they are only doing their job'. The point I am making is that the argument that 'they are only doing their job' is not universally valid as a defence for activities which are offensive.Person_one wrote: »Only 'perhaps' OTT? Do you not think its in slightly bad taste to compare cold calling to genocide?
Regardless of the comparison with genocide, the point you really have to argue against isif someone does not like doing their job and hates the effect it has on innocent people, they should stop doing the job. It is that simpleYou might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -

Why do you lack the courage to actually quote the point you need to argue against?Person_one wrote: »Well that's an easy one to argue against, because for lots of people it isn't that simple at all.You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0
