Wow mav, that's brilliant! I can't wait to own my own place and the first thing I would do is make a pen and find hens :) where did you get them from? You should be very proud of yourself :D

Over the years I have rescued about 100 and they just live the life of luxury with me as I believe they have earned it:)
I got these locally to me, They are giving up caged hens and going down the barn route.TBH I don't know which is worse :(
I have done a lot of rescues with Little Hen Rescue (on faceb**k) and they work so hard

The girls I got today are in pretty poor condition with hardly any feathers and really scrawny. So hope I don't loose any. But they are pretty tough and will put them out tomorrow with the others  So it will be a bit of a nightmare but they have 1.5 acres to get away from each other. But of course that's not enough for them and most of the time they get in my garden and come indoors if the stairgate is open :rotfl: and eat out of the dogs bowl much to his disgust :)
I really hope you can get some at a later date as it is so rewarding,
And they teach you a lot about making the most of your day,They sure do :D

  • Wow it's been a week or so since I last checked in here - I don't know where the time has gone! Very slow month for me though, I think the heat has boiled all the motivation out of me!!:(

Still, just been paid £35.00 for some blogging I did at the start of the month, and recieved a nice £5 voucher from Co-op to replace some out of date vouchers I'd unearthed the other week.

I'm so skint that I haven't even added roadkill as every last penny has to go in my purse, not the pot, this month!!

Have been doing some more surveys but really need to pick that up again. And MUST get ebaying again.. I'm hardly short of stuff to sell, I think I've got rooms and rooms of clothes and stuff I could list, but I'm so sleepy this weather I usually just decide to have a little nap instead :p

Still been doing loads of mystery shopping, there seems to be loads of jobs near me and they literally take 2 minutes and are worth £4-5 each, got about £70 in a pot now built up. All being well they should be cashed out this Sunday!

I'm expecting my overtime payment this Friday too, looking forward to seeing he much that is.
