A sympathetic lawyer will cost you a lot less than what you are giving away. Do not agree with the split as it stands under any circumstances. A divorce court could conceivably give you the entire home based on your circumstances.

Prudryden its prob more me trying to keep things calm, he's already caused me one complete breakdown and I can't handle any sort of trouble now. If I don't get as much as I should then so be it but my sanity needs to come first this time. Hence reason why i'm trying to see if there is and easy way out I suppose or even cowards way out

thanks for your help though0 -
All my fights got up and gone lol0

I suggest that you speak to a solicitor and let him/her fight for you.
There is no need for any further contact between you and your ex. Any harrassment and you phone the Police. Please make an appointment to see a legal expert.

A lawyer will take all the pressure away from you. You will have more relief than you ever thought possible. No need for arguments - you just say it's in the hands of my lawyer. As GG says, harassment is not to be tolerated.FREEDOM IS NOT FREE0

I agree with the others, until you take decent legal advice you dont know where you stand. Indeed, as pru suggests you might in fact be worrying about losing your home when there COULD be an alternative, get a solicitor and if nothing else do it to double check you are getting the berst deal possible.
x:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Avoid any extra expense by going to see your nearest Citizens Advice Bureau, they can help with all matters relating to seperation, including the division of assets.
You can explain to them your situation and they should be able to help you look at possible schemes that would allow you to remain in your home, or refer you to an organisation that can assist in finding you accomodation that is suitable to your needs.
Check here for your nearest CAB

Best thing of all is their advice is free and they have a wealth of legal expertise at their finger tips.

Also Dusky, many solicitors will offer you a first hour free consultation. It's well worth it if you can go along with a list of your assets & their value & let them give you an idea of what you might be entitled to.
You are under no obligation to use them further if you don't wish to.
It's roper MSE 'cos its FREE.
Best of Luck with whatever you decide, but don't be sold short for an easy life!!Thanks to all who post comps :A :T0
