Virgin Mobile Insurance

Hi.

I have just received an email from Virgin Mobile stating from next month they are increasing the excess on my insurance from £35 to £70. Is this legal, as surely once I sign up for it, it is fixed for the length of the contract. In the same email they state they are increasing the monthly line rental as well.

Thanks,

Dave

    Check your insurance T&C?
As you are paying monthly it can be either way. And certainly the insurance contract and the airtime contract are not connected in any way.

I your were not sent them this doesn't mean that they don't/didn't exist.

When you keep paying for something it's worth knowing what exactly you are paying for.

    Perfectly legal.

The nominal cost of the service is increasing, and since you pay nothing, hey achieve this by moving the goalposts. You have be ultimate right to terminate and have the service provided by a different insurer.
