    Morning all

Hope everyone is ok. Dull here but no washing to do so that's good.

Happy Anniversary to my darling husband 28 yrs :kisses2: it was such a cold windy day when we got married and they said it wouldn't last:D

Need to pop for milk today. Have some vouchers for sainsbobs but to be honest they are so expensive I think I will just stick to Aldi, don't really think we save at all.

We've had our tax awards and think we are probably being overpaid, as others have said waste of time ringing them. I will be glad when I'm working and can't claim anything. At least you know your not going to have to pay anything back.

TTFTM thanks for the diet info, I have registered on the forum and ordered the book.:T just have to stick to the diet now!

Tea tonight will be chilli from the freezer with brown rice. More job searching for me, I'm currently waiting for three jobs to close so that I can find out if I've been short listed. The kind of jobs I'm applying for take such a long time to apply and short list then you usually have to do a presentation, it can take up to two months before you ever get a start date. Such a faff.

Leg is feeling better each day, still can't do a proper walk but managing to get round the block.

Have ordered some hand made Christmas cards from my DIL in Australia, just special ones for close family. She is trying to get something going from home now the baby is coming so wanted to support her, plus I'm not buying presents for brothers, wife's, nieces and nephews any more so I thought hand made cards would be nice.

Anyway enough waffle have a good day J x

    Happy anniversary julie!

TTFTM it was definitely different when we were younger. Do you think we have rose tinted specs?

I was listening to our local radio phone in on Monday and they were talking about work shy teenagers not having Saturday jobs. In the eighties, my friends and I all had Saturday jobs in independent shops. We were all paid cash in hand. Fast forward thirty years, the high streets are dead and there are no independent shops. All the shops are out of town too. Made me cross.

Anyway, not so busy today, taking future SIL to the chiropractor but that's all. I'm trying a new recipe for dinner, spicy bean burgers from Lorraine Pascale's book. I'm topping them with bacon so they'll be no veggie food complaints:rotfl:

Tomorrow, Friday and Saturday will be manic so I'm enjoying today!

Julie - congratulations on your Anniversary [ours apparently will never last either lol]

Halight - tax credit people told me it would take 6 weeks before I heard - they got it sorted in 3 so hopefully you'll hear very soon - never known such a disorganised bunch of bodies ever! Never speak to the same person and they always give conflicting advice! Really annoying :[[

    Morning all,

Happy anniversary Julie. Ive been married 28 years too and as well as others thinking our marriage wouldn't last. I didn't think it would either (but obviously was going to give it the benefit of the doubt).

Well theres World War 3 going off on my Facebook. My son and his ex.... Both of them are as bad as each other but its a pity I have to witness it. Thing is theres a little boy in the middle of it and that little boy is 'Friends' with both his parents. Jeez what a mess!

Commiserations about the radishes Tru. If its any consolation my beans have been eaten to death. I don't think I am going to bother at all next year. Hubby has lost interest and I was never interested. All I want is a gardenless house.:D

I haven't got much to do today apart from the usual Wednesday chores so I am going to get the carpet washer out and tackle the carpets upstairs. Hopefully the carpets will be dry by the time we go to bed. I guess i'll have a decent set of arm muscles by the time ive finished. Bahhh!

Don't know what to do for tea tonight. Something with mash again for hubby. I'll have pasta I think.

    Have a good day all,

Happy Anniversary Julie. If you add my two marriages together it comes to 28 years too! ;)

Beautiful summers day here, but unfortunately it is not going to last.

Got our bed sorted last night and with help of SIL delivered their bed to them. King size bed (split in two) just about fitted in my estate. Still a bit of decluttering to do, but you can certainly see the pile to be sorted going down. OH did another run to the dump and clothes shop yesterday.

    Have a nice day everyone.

    Morning all!
Have been to the doctors, pills changed, another sick line to post to work. Will go to Mr M's and use the payday bonus vouchers to stock up on juice for DD and DS, and find something nice for dinner, then it will be back to the painting no doubt. DD is away to work so must be feeling better.
Happy anniversary Julie, it was 30 years ago this week I met OH, how time flies.
Oh well, WM is finished, better get the towels out for a blow then get moving! Have a good day all!

  • I can't beat the years game (5 years for my first marriage, where we were apparently made for each other, and it's almost 6 years for my current and final marriage).

I did only have 6 weeks between finishing my first marriage and meeting DH. That's not going to last either apparently, I'm on the rebound. Almost 11 years now though.:rotfl:

I divorced at the end of January 2003 and decided the naughty boy bachelor life was for me. My niece got married in May that year and my "guest" to the wedding (whom I had never met before) and I fell for each other - a real love at first sight. We were PM and email pals at a similar site to this and I jokingly asked her to the wedding. As she lived in Kent I didn't expect her to accept, but she did!
She moved over here in 2004 and we married in Las Vegas in 2005 and the rest is history, as they say!

    Thank goodness Judi doesn't do PM's! :D
