  • As others have said, the sales are never quite as good as the used to be, I often find flying indirect with US or Delta cheaper. Just the service isn't quite as good.

    btw https://www.skyscanner.net all the way

I've just been over on the BAEC forum on Flyertalk and the word is that there could be a sale in the next few days. Apparently, in 2011 and 2012 a worldwide sale was launched in late June, so keep your eyes open. There are also reports of reduced price WTP fares already being available.

That's the thing with BA sales, sometimes they are announced with great fanfare, other times the revenue management systems just kick in and you get big discounts on some routes but they don't tell anyone about them.

Just had a Netflights email showing the BA July sale, book before July 16 for flights from Oct to Christmas and from Christmas to end March, San Fran from £504, LA from £534 and LV from £564.

You would obviously have to play around with specific dates etc to try and hit the cheapest flights.

I found a WTP fare yesterday to Bangkok in August that I booked. £150 cheaper than the economy fare.

Yes, I saw that too. You have to play around with some dates but there are some £950 WTP returns to Bangkok available. They are usually a minimum of £1200 so that's a cracking price. Fortunately I booked by next trip to BKK in the last sale for a similar price.

The sale is now officially online: http://www.britishairways.com/en-gb/offers/holidays/sale?source=H01A&hpsource=H01AABookyourflights
