Tips> We always change our watches to destination's local time when we get on board
I'd agree with this. This doesn't work for everyone but I find that the best way to avoid jetlag is to adjust yourself to the new timezone as soon as possible, so try to sleep at the 'right' time,

It's been mentioned before but getting up to walk around regularly is vital especially on a long flight - I remember someone on TV saying you should twist your feet at the ankles in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions to keep blood flowing freely.

    Have fun out there!

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Dress smartly and be nice when you check in and you could be upgraded. more chance as you are travelling alone and only need the one seat

Not a chance in hell of that happening. BA have a frequent flyers club, where you receive points for flying (like Virgins') They have all passengers flying on the system, so any upgrades will go to their highest ranking members. It is a complete myth that you can get an upgrade just by asking these days on commercial airlines. If you want an upgrade, PAY FOR IT!!
