You will be wasting your time suing the ex-LL for breach of contract.

He has just been repossessed. He's broke. He has no money to pay you even IF you win a court claim for your costs. Assuming you can find him since he's also done a runner.....

I am not suing the landlord, it is the letting agent who is liable.

The same was also said by the judge here:

Judge also commented that because the LA hadn't asked to see official confirmation from the LL that he had permission to let, they were liable and could be subject to civil action from me.

Flyer333 did you attend the possession hearing and what happened?

What about your deposit? Has it been protected?

As for suing, it may be worth looking at the Land Registry to determine the amount of lending secured on the property. If there is some equity in there even after a repo and repo fees, then you could sue the LL at the property address and at the LA address and you might get a summary judgement, which I think you could use to get a claim on any equity in the property.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

No I was not allowed time off work to attend, as I had already taken time off to sort out a new place to live.

As soon as I cancelled my standing order and the letting agent cancelled their involvement, I requested that the DPS return my deposit. So I got that back a couple of weeks ago.

I shall be suing the LA, they are liable for all my costs according to my solicitor.
I have to pay an extra 20 pounds per month in my new place, 20x24 months
It doesnt come with a parking space, 50x24 will be my outlay should I get a car
I will request my admin fees back 420
I will claim for my current fees 200
    etc etc

So I will hopefully get the compensation for my troubles, and also report them to Trading Standards for their terrible service, and lack of comms throughout this episode.
