ID can become a nightmare, can't it ... for me, it was about the solicitor who was holding my mum's will - they wanted particular forms of ID for all three of us executors, and two of us were hundreds of miles from home, and they didn't even have a photocopied list to hand out, just kept gabbling at us from behind the reception desk. It's not on a par with the 24/7/365 madness that the ESA enforces - as a short term experience, it was bad enough, gives me a tiny experience of what it must be like for you :(

I hope your appointment went well Knit Witch. Fingers crossed you get the result that you deserve.

My disabled rail card has expired now and I know exactly what you mean. All these cuts impact in more ways than people realise. I got mine when I was on DLA. I am not expecting to be able to renew....

Oooh bus pass has my photo - thank you Pooh! (and grump again - that expires next month and because they decided I was mobile .......)
In my area (Suffolk) PIP mobility is not the only requirement to get a disabled bus pass - if a GP confirms that someone has problems with mobility this can also gain people a bus pass.
Maybe check your county council's website and see what that has to say. It would be a bummer to lose a little bit of freedom.

They cram in more people than they have time for in the hope that some won't turn up and then they have still filled their quota.
Not helpful at all for those sat waiting around and of course no one tells you anything.

Fingers crossed the result is what you want.

Excellent result on ESA - I would be surprised if they reviewed you in December especially as you are in the Support Group.

They barely have time and appointments to keep up with people in the work related group.

I asked DWP previously about the review date ATOS/Maximus/etc put and apparently they don't pay any attention to it. DWP have their own schedule for people which is usually more like 18mths - 3 years for Support Group and 6mths - 1 year for WRAG as those people are deemed more likely to be able to return to work.

Thank you for that EE - hubby wondered if they put that date as the following week I will get an extra payment of £10 (woo hoo! :rotfl:)

Brilliant news on still being in support group. I agree with eager-elephant that they couldn't possibly organise themselves to do another assessment in 6 months. They like all public services, are severely short staffed.

There has been a few odd letters from them regarding the Christmas payment of £10. I had a letter telling me I would receive it, then a week later another letter telling me that it is a one off payment, then another telling me how much I will be paid after that week.

Today I had a letter saying that DWP have all the info they need to make a decision on my PIP. Lots more letters than we used to get from them..

I think hubbie is right too.

Okay been on my holibobs (well more Dr Witch's holibobs as he gets a chance to relax!), started taking vit b12 as per Doc instructions just before we went and it seems to be doing something (brain fog has lifted somewhat - but can still go from as fine as I ever get to seriously shattered in a matter of seconds )

Back on the diet today (lost a bit and put some of it back on during the hols - luckily not all of it :rotfl::rotfl:), and plan to stitch this week, oh and get back to looking after ME in general (healthy eating, taking care of my skin, drinking lots of water etc).

Still no news re PIP *sigh*
