Hmm I plucked up the courage to phone and check they had the letter (they have) but nothing done with it yet - so as it has been 2 months already then 4 months is feasible!Must use my stash up!0 -
Hello Knit Witch
I've just been reading through your diary. Luckily none of my family have ever had to claim PIP or ESA so I know very little about them (can't even understand how my retirement pension is calculated) but I am appalled at the way people who are obviously unwell and doing their best are treated. A three hour journey to attend an interview and the length of time it takes to make a decision that then has to be appealed!!! It looks to me that these people are doing everything possible to get potential claimants to give up before the process is even started. I do hope you get a good outcome.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

Hi KnitWitch, :hello:
Sorry to hear you're still not sorted out, benefits-wise. If you use Faceache, there's a very helpful group called "ME & Chronic Illness Benefits Advice Group" who can offer support and suggestions re getting a successful result.

Aaargh! The ESA people want three forms of ID, I don't have a passport, I surrendered my driving licence when the leg spasms got so bad I was a danger on the road! All the bills are in Dr Witch's name ('cos he has a flipping income and I basically DON'T) what the flip do I do!:mad::mad::mad::mad:Must use my stash up!0

I have never known ESA to want ID from anyone unless you are not a UK national.
Who would have 3 forms of ID anyway??
Could you or Dr Witch give them a call and ask exactly why they need it?
I think you have been claiming ESA for a long time so why have they decided this....0 -

Knitwitch PIP wanted 2 yesterday. But there were youngsters being assessed. There was no way they had ID. It is all so ridiculous and makes everything so stressful. I took driving licence and bus pass but only because I realised at the last minute as we were going out of the front door.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
