  • I think I might reinstall RCT and start from scratch. I have lost all interest in console games and i prefer the Football Manager and Tycoon style games these days. And will deffo be trying Civ5

    Just adding a +1 for Civ 5.

Its pretty much all I ever play nowadays. Very satisfying and in depth gameplay, about to get even better with the expansion next month. Can usually pick it up for next to nothing on steam if you wait for it to go on offer.

I really enjoyed Civ 4. But I agree, not many that I can name at the moment.
There was Theme Zoo which was quite good.

    Civ III was the nuts.

Civ IV was enjoyable but my laptop struggled when the map got big.

Absolutely loved Transport Tycoon and the original Medieval: Total War.

Whichever incarnation of Civ your PC can comfortably handle - otherwise things slow down between turns when the map gets big and there are lots of enemy turns to be generated. I prefer 4 to 5 for that reason alone.

  • Dungeon Keeper/Dungeon Keeper 2?

These are two awesome God-type favorites of mine.

Ok so I just searched God type games just to make sure I am getting this right heh.

Have you ever tried Spore? Basically you create your own animal/creature starting from an organism. You then go to collect new parts and can customize from there. I'm not really sure of the other features I only played a few times but I did really enjoy it. Maybe worth a look?
