I love reading. What OH does when I'm reading is complain about how antisocial I am with my face stuck in a book :o

I love reading on my kindle or iPad. Hubby has never been a reader he prefers watching DVDs or pc gaming. He has just started reading the first game of thrones book on my kindle though....might take him a while though

  • I read a lot but getting my OH to read a book is like pulling teeth :p

I usually read when I'm on the train, so most weekday mornings and evenings when I'm on my way to/from uni. If I'm reading at home, my OH is usually on the computer gaming or doing work.
  • I love to read books and have one on the go most of the time (although I haven't read much lately as I've been busy), OH reads car/boat magazines but not often.

I like to read in bed so usually OH is asleep when I'm reading! Other than that I'll read with my feet on his lap when he's watching something on TV I'm not that interested in. Luckily he never moans about my reading.

That reminds me I need to sort my books out - I have two bookshelves full of books I've read and won't read again that are taking up room (I hate giving them away!)

I envy people who can read while travelling on a bus or train. I can't do it, it makes me really travel-sick :(

Me too! It really pains me to part with a book... even one I thought was rubbish and that I know I'll never read again :p

OH absolutely LOVES reading. Give him money and send him shopping, and he'll usually come back with a book. He reads in bed mostly, but is also occasionally happy to sit on the sofa with a book.

I have a few authors I like, and a certain type of book that I'll read, but I find that life is just too busy. I currently have about 20-30 books, five of which have been purchased by OH for me within the last two or three years and haven't been read. I feel guilty, as though it looks like I don't appreciate them, but he's picked my favourite authors and books that I do want to read. I just don't ever find time to sit and lose myself in a book - there's always something else that needs doing!

I like to read and I have a Kindle that I bought earlier this year.

I am quite a slow reader and it can take me up to a month to read a book, although the quickest one was 3 days. I don't know how people can read a book from cover to cover in one sitting, because I just don't have the time! I tend to read on the bus to and from work and sometimes in bed, but usually I fall asleep.

OH doesn't always like me reading when he's around, as he seems to think I'm ignoring him and will constantly interrupt me to get me to look up.
