Well actually, no. It's divadee and MrsTine.

Never really see them on the board, never action merge requests or end dates etc, it's almost as if they've forgotten they BG here. It's all very well having 4, but if only 2 are doing the work, then it makes gaining that extra BG in December completely irrelevant.

I don't remember that though, I remember that when she was first appointed, we were asked to not bombard her. So that suggests to me she was here to stay.

Not meaning any offence to her at all, but I honestly don't remember seeing her here for anything, ever. That's not a complaint. I don't know what is going on, but I also wonder if the workload is manageable for the BGs who keep things going for us here.

Ahh Blulu you may well be right, I vaguely remember her coming in around advent time but like you haven't seen her since so I might just be thinking she was brought in to cover the extra work.

I actually don't know my arrse from my elbow this week though so the Tooth Fairy could be a BG for all I know :rotfl::rotfl:

Fair point do you have any thought on how or what we do?

I only pm Dalkist because merges happens pretty quickly that way.

There are just two BG's that I pm re merges.This is purely based on past experiences re their live hours on here & speed of action.

Personally I think the other BG's are in prime position to raise any issues re workload etc with MSE admin.

Look out - I'm going to agree with weeowens (for prolly the second time ever )

I also PM just two. The problem arises when the others are PM'd and don't action so the posts either get forgotten about or they have to be re-requested, which just seems a waste of time when they could have and most likely would have been actioned before someone discovers they weren't.

One option could be to take them off the BG list, but then if you roll 5-6 months down the line there will be clamouring for more because there's so many dead comps or non-actioned things. As WO said it's down to the BG's to decide if the workload is too much, but we had to request the extra BG in site feedback if I remember rightly.

Other options could be new ones or 'swapsies'. The thing is, I know being a BG is a voluntary 'job' and that real life does come into play, but surely if you can't free up the time to workthe voluntary role then maybe you should give up the role to someone to could provide the time. I just think if we have 4 then at least they should be about.

Or that could have happened and MSE Admin haven't updated the list. Who knows? I don't think they would give us five though, so if we did want another one, then one would have to go.

What would be the pint in another BG? what is needed id BGs who actually do something on the board...

I mean one just specifically to keep the boards free of old comps, not listed to send pm's for merges etc
Yes I agree too that if the bg's haven't got the time or inclination to do the job then they should "step down"
