Look forward to some photos. I think all the june-ies should post links to our pics as I love looking at all your photos but only posted a few of ours.

Are you up to anything today or rest of week?

We have our minimoon this weekend - you might know it - Collingwood Arms just north of Alnwick.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

Glad you had a lovely day, looking forward to some pictures :D
Not long for you now lisajane! :D

It seems to have come around way too fast, I had planned to have everything done by now but I still seem to have a list that is getting longer :o

The photographer said we should get our photos in about 10 days time, although I think it might be sooner than that, as we saw him back in the bar at our hotel working on his laptop, so he might have been editing them then! I'll post some up when we get them. :)

We went to Gateshead today, to the Metro Centre for some shopping with our wedding money and gift vouchers! :D Frankie and Benny's for lunch (never been there before, loved it!), and then Krispy Kremes for coffee and of course, Doughnuts :p

I hadn't heard of the Collingwood Arms before, but googled it, and it looks lovely! Enjoy your mini moon :D

We're not actually going anywhere to stay this week, but will have a few days off to different places, and then book our proper honeymoon.

You should start a thread for all the June Brides photos! I love seeing everyone's piccies too!

It'll all get done, it may seem like it won't, but in the end it'll be right and you'll have a lovely wedding! :D

ahhh I'm so pleased you sound so happy. Good for you holding it together and not crying (as you know that has been a worry for me) so has inspired me to hope maybe I won't be a blubbering wreck too.

    It sounds absolutely ideal.

We are doing the same as you, we are just having week off work afterwards, and having a day or two out at different cheap local attractions, as we have spent a fortune (well not a fortune to some, but is to us) on the wedding and we are also madly trying to house deposit save. I think a few days after to just be yourselves and chill out sounds absolutely ideal after the whirlwind of the actual day

Really really happy for you hun xxxxxxxxxx

Thanks Hun! Yeah, it's nice just to have a few days to chill out and relax! It still all feels really surreal, yesterday just went so fast, I'm worried I didn't take it all in properly, the service was really quick, when we got out, we were like 'that was easy!' :rotfl: Then this morning when we were driving through to Newcastle, Dave burst out laughing, and was like "Ha! We're Married!!"

It's weird, because everything's still in my maiden name of course (will have to find a list of what you have to change), but when I went in the Radley shop, for the first time ever I got to answer the Miss or Mrs question with Mrs and then when they asked my surname (which is now McCumiskey), they went "Oooo right, how do you spell that?". The OH gets asked every single time! I've kept the receipt as a souvenir. :rotfl:

You'll be fine with the crying I'm sure! I was probably just ok because I couldn't see my Mam, Dad or MIL's faces, if I could I might have been worse! I think you're concentrating that much on what to say, that that stops you from crying?!

I cried during both the wedding and handfasting vows, my bride didn't. At one point I didn't think I was going to manage the wedding vows at all. There goes my reputation as a hard hearted bloke ;)

Everyone is telling me that, that the day just flys by so quick, that its hard to take everything in. I am one of those easily bewildered people, and occasionally get a bit nervous when in groups (though not all the time) so me and OH have pencilled in half hour during the reception, where we are going to go off and have a cup of tea together, just the two of us. sad hey lol

That's really cute of you keeping the receipt as a souvenir, I do things like that - when my OH proposed a couple of months back it was a complete suprise, he did it in our favourite resturant, so i kept the receipt from that night in my little weddingy box xx
