Ooo I wonder how its going for her
Well, we're married!!Can't believe it, it all feels so surreal! Tbh, I don't really feel any different!
It all went so fast, the service itself was only about 15-20 mins long, and the guy at the Blacksmiths shop was lovely, he couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, he made us feel special, like we were the only ones ever to get married there.
We had paid for the Renison Room (which is the smallest room there), but because there were no other weddings on at the same time, he said we could use one of the other rooms (usually for bigger parties), if we wanted, and that included the main Original Marriage Room! Frank took us into see them and said the choice was ours, and even though there was only 5 of us, we chose the Original Marriage Room, where they first performed Anvil Weddings for runaways! It was lovely to be a part of history!
I only felt my bottom lip wobble a couple of times, when Frank showed us round, and tourists were like "Good Luck, All the Best, Congratulations!" etc, and when the photographer said that before we started for my Dad to give me a kiss, I was like "Oh this is going to set me off!" But surprisingly, during the ceremony I kept it all together and didn't really cry....unlike the OH! :rotfl: He said "I looked over your shoulder, and your Mam was crying and it set me off"
We then had photos taken inside and out, and loads of tourists were taking photos of us too! My Dad knows the Piper there, and the Piper asked us if we wanted a photo taken with him, so we did, and that was really nice of him!
We then had a lovely lunch at the Smiths hotel and then drove home, and we were back for about 6pm! Back in time for the soaps! :rotfl:
I was nervous about how my hair and make up would turn out, but they were really professional and did a really good job, my Mam was really pleased, so it was a lovely treat for her to get hers done too!
It was funny though, no one mentioned my Converse, I didnt know whether or not that was a good thing or not?! They weren't half comfy though!0 -
