Indeed..cruelty to kids in the UK is perpetrated by HM Government and often also by their parents whether unwittingly or otherwise..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Wow - how on earth did you find the time to meet 47 million people and get to know them well enough to make that sort of comment. I live in Spain and - prepare yourself for a shock - they have exactly the same mix of good, bad and indifferent people as everywhere else.
I find the "inbred" comment particularly offensive. We have met some fantastic people over here and find the Spanish to be, in general, welcoming, patient and hard working. On the coast legions of drunk holiday makers have worn away some of that patience, but even 10 mins drive from the sea you will find real Spanish hospitality.0 -
I do agree. Spain..away from the frontline costas is brilliant. Some interesting and honest replies which is refreshing, but the usual attempts to diver attention elsewhere or try to make two wrongs!
Oh and it was never about the cartoon but about the written work & the link within it.
As for the one comment about the source, if you actually read the original post you would see that this person lives in Italy so is hardly interested in this forum!0 -
As a nation of animal lovers, we are always too keen to point out the mote in anothers eye and ignore the beam in our own. Preferably when that "other" is a different race.
