For property investment purpose should we create a company?

My partner and I are looking at a large property where the local council's planning officer has already given his positive feedback to split it into three apartments.
Our initial plan is to live in it as it is and spend the next year or so renovating it then split the property into three dwellings. Eventually, we would retain one apartment and sell or rent the other two.
For costs and tax purposes, we are seeking advice whether it is viable to create a company together to buy and renovate this property.
