OK, disconnect everything apart from the router.

Do you have anything else wired from the back of the master socket, house alarm maybe.
Have you always had this problem?

only got router connected - same figures

    ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 380 kbps 412 kbps
Line Attenuation 51 db 33 db
Noise Margin 7 db 16 db

In that case I'd get on the blower to Sky and/or BT and report slow speeds. Looks like it may be be a fault with your phone line.

Have you used any of the suggested tools, such as Wifi Analyzer, to look at wireless networks in your area? I don't believe this to be the sole cause of your problem, but there's a chance it might not be helping matters.

You have a downstream connection speed of 380kbps which roughly translates to a download speed of around 47KB/sec. In todays terms, that is poor.

This calculator tells me your throughput should be about 4191kbps, or around 523KB/sec. Does that sound about your normal download speed, when things are working as they should be?

Have you checked your microfilters are correctly installed? Do you have one installed at the end of each phone socket or extension? This page tells you how to install them correctly. It might even be worth trying with just your Sky router plugged into the master socket on it's own to determine faulty telephone wiring inside your house. Also, if you have any, check your pets haven't chewed any wiring.

dont have any pets, have just downloaded the app - but it means nothing to me` Just found something which looks like a speedo and I am in the yellow section -64 - good or bad? - I dont know

Ignore the wifi for now. You have confirmed the problem is before it gets to wifi (the stats you gave earlier are from your sky modem to the Internet and not from your computer to the sky modem to the Internet). Once you sort that problem out you can look at the wifi if it's fast without wifi but slow with wifi.

    Questions:
Has it always been this slow? Do you live in a rural area? Maybe you just can't get fast Internet. There's a tester on https://www.bt.com where you enter your phone number and get an estimate of speed you can get.

If only recently slowed down then you need to find out why. Is it due to new filters you fitted or where they fitted to try to resolve the problem? Can sky confirm if any problems with your line?

Also is it always slow or only at peak times (in the evenings when everyone is online)?

Answer those questions and we should be able to give some more advice.

There is nothing wrong with the WiFi. Perform a quiet line test dial 17070 and follow prompts, use a wired phone.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
