call me thick:o , but surely if your income is under 14,155 you would get wtc

if you only get ctc then your income is higher. to me people in receipt of wtc are on lower incomes than those just getting ctc, so i am

I receive CTC but not WTC because my only other income is a student loan so I'm well below the £14,155.
I think it's terrible that some people can be earning less than £14,155 but because they receive WTC they are not entitled.
My son starts school this year and I have checked I am entitled to this and my LA still gives the grant (£50).
Is there a certain date you have to apply for this by?0 -
I also get CTC but not WTC as I only work 14 hours per week. This way I get free school dinners, free milk, fruit & veg.
