I have just placed a post on the Green Deal Forum - post 535.
I believe nobody should have to ask the police to arrest workers for damaging homes. The police have better things to do with their time.
I believe companies such as DGI should not operate in this manner.
Clearly, DGI think otherwise.
I work in the construction industry. I am well aware of DGI's poor reputation. I engaged them on the basis that we both knew a dodgy job would result in conflict. DGI agreed to do a proper job - but then reverted to their usual ways. A foolish move on their part, but I guess a leopard cannot change its spots!
This post should act as a warning to others - should anyone being doing a future search on DGI in this forum

Actually, what you have done is placed a post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=62020171&postcount=535 - number 535 of the Green Deal thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4430785 on the Gas & Electricity forum http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13 for anyone trying to find it.I have just placed a post on the Green Deal Forum - post 535.You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
To update, I met the Police today to discuss DGI. I was informed should they return to my home the Police will intervene for a potential breach of the peace.
Should DGI not be co-operative on this they will be arrested.
When one considers that DGI claim to be a genuine, national company this is a shocking state of affairs.
That said, this is how DGI wish to run their business. Clearly, they are happy with this.0 -
To update, I have now given DGI two opportunities to rectify the damage they have done to my roof. Predictably, both requests have been ignored.
There has now been a change of strategy by DGI. Undertaking repairs is the action expected of a normal company. As everyone will have gathered DGI are not a normal company!
DGI they have instructed solicitors operating under the name of Harrison Clark Rickerbys of Hereford to chase me...I am not sure what their role is but it could be interpreted as to intimidate me.
Of course I respect the law. That said, I cannot respect solicitors who operate in this manner. If I were a stereotypical little old lady receiving solicitors letters I would be scared out of my wits. Clearly this solicitor has no qualms about operating in this manner.
I maintain a genuine solicitor would be looking carefully at the correspondence and instructing their client, that is DGI, to resolve the issues.
There are numerous companies offering insulation and numerous companies offering the Green Deal. Any company would be preferable to DGI...unless you relish trespass, Breach Of The Peace, damage to your home, receiving solicitors letters...etc.
Is there anyone else with bad experience of DGI or their "friendly" solicitors?0
