    Hello all!
DS has repaired the fence, which neighbours grandsons used as a climbing frame and wrecked! Plan was to start painting it, big job as the fence is around the front and back garden and very tall, but its been raining for ages so that will need to wait for another day. Have cooked a batch of mince and onions, so that will be dinner, DD can have mashed cauliflower instead of spuds.
Am on here browsing to avoid remaking my bed, suppose I better get it done before I forget!

    Hi all,

got dragged round a few more car showrooms this morning..... I was more interested in the high level of police presence that was just outside the showroom by the nightclub. The nightclub car park was full, police everywhere and sealed areas all over the place. A blue tent covered part of the footpath. Whilst hubby was cooing over cars I was playing with my phone and discovered the presence/disturbance was due to an attempted murder.

My hair is a mess. How come its texture is different now I am grey? When my hair was naturally dark brown, it shone, was smooth and silky in fact it was a bit too soft if you know what I mean. Now i'm grey its like wire! I'm trying to grow it but it just wont behave! No matter what I do it always looks a mess and I hate it.

Moaning aside, the household waste has been bagged up and ready to be collected by the bin men tomorrow and I will resist the urge to shoot the little blighter that's rearing his family in one of my conifer trees. Damn thing squarks day and night!

NAR your holiday sounds wonderful but beware of the bears!

    Have a good evening all,

September is a big month for me, big birthday and I retire. OH and I have decided on a very special (expensive) holiday to Canada. We will be travelling through the Rockies, doing various adventures such as glacier sleighing ( :snow_laug ), staying in a number of locations wildlife watching and finishing with a 7 day cruise to Alaska.

    Wow sounds fantastic.

I love my cruises, and Alaska is on my list.

I try to live an OS life most of the year to help me save for the holidays

    Have a good evening all,

I have gone back to using baby shampoo since the silver started to appear and my hair is in much better condition than it has been for years even though I colour it.

TTFTM, me and my hubby are back on the low carb way of eating. We were both doing very well on it a year ago, but over the last 4 months we got side tracked and it definitely shows in our health issues getting worse again. We had bacon, egg and sausage for our brunch and it was delicious!

We did really well on it a couple of years ago but then fell off the rails and have been carb monsters again since :o

Have recently tried a few other diets but I know low carb is the best way for me. I find the first few days really difficult then after about day 5, I love it and it's easy.

Oh except when I go into Lidl and smell their bakery!

    Hi everyone
Been reading all week but not had time to post. Usually have a Tuesday afternoon off but worked it last week and will again this week as my eldest DD has university open days on the Fridays of each week, so am off those days instead. We went to Leeds university last Friday - she want to do a BA in fashion there. We both really liked it and the course is just what she wants to do, so she'd love to go there. She's going to have to work really hard at college next year as she needs high grades to get in; but she's done well in her first year so fingers crossed! This Friday it's the open day at Northumbria Uni, which also has the course she wants, though she'd prefer to go a little bit further from home. Leeds would be an ideal distance....2 and a half hours by train, far enough but not too far! Doesn't seem possible that this time next year she'll nearly be old enough for uni....

I've had no voice for most of this week....to the great amusement of my daughters. Had a dry throat last weekend, could speak when I went to work on Monday and just croak by the time I came home. Lasted all week, luckily I could speak by Friday so I wasn't totally embarrassing, but still not right. Probably if I'd stayed at home and rested my voice.rather then going to work I'd have been better quicker.....

Well, going to run a nice hot bath. Anyone watching The Returned?....eldest DD and I watching it....totally confusing! I like it cos she has to take her eyes off the laptop to read the subtitles!
