OS Daily Sunday 23rd June 2013

This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Good Morning chums ,hope everyone is bright eyed and bushey-tailed this morning :):)
dry and bright at the moment so maybe we shall get some of the yellow stuff today I have just stripped and remade my bed and the washing machine is chundering away as I type.I'm just about to start my weekly bake to fill up the tins as I have a busy week ahead of me.Eldest DD is coming this morning for coffee as per usual sunday morning visit. She had a small lump of scar tissue removed during last week and has had to keep her leg elevated ,but it didn't stop her from working even though she could have had time off so I shall have to spoil her a bit today. My youngest hopefully is on the mend as well ,last week they wouldn't have made a decent body between them.
Right I must get a shift on as I have stacks to do
hope everyone has a good day and the sun shines down upon us righteous folk :):):)
    Take care all

Morning JackieO and all who cross/follow
Sunny here for now but I'm not expecting it to last, I have washing on the line, I hope it dries.
Hugs to Molly, LW hope you are ok.
Plans for today include sorting the compost bins, vacuuming upstairs, ironing & cooking next weeks meals in advance as hubby is on the early shift for the 3rd week running which means I'm at work for 9 hours and knackered when I get home.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Well Iv only been up 10 mins, I went to bed at 10:30pm, And I did not wake up once until 7.30am So and long sleep for me again.

Trouble is Iv woken up with a spiting headache:mad:

All tablets taken, Just need to wit for the pain killers to kick in. First Mug of coffee half gone,

Today my wife and the girls are at there dancing, My wife has too be there all day, as she is in charge of looking after one of the groups of older girls, who need to be there all day today, The twins only need to be there from 11:00 until 2:00, But as my wife needs to be there from 10:30 the girls will be going early with her, My wife Mum will pick the girls up and give them there dinner tonight, They are taking a packed lunch to eat at dancing,
So no Sunday school for the girls today,

My wife and I will be having roast chicken for dinner tonight but we will not be eating until late as she will be at dancing until 7:30 tonight.

    Morning everyone,

    Molly, Hilstep, LW Hugs.

OH up and out early this morning for the Great Nottinghamshire Bike Ride. I am not a cyclist but will be going to a celebration barbecue this afternoon, fingers crossed for the weather. There are chocolate brownies in the oven as my contribution to the proceedings.

I am reading in church this morning so I need to look fairly respectable, normally I just pop on my jeans!

No tea to cook tonight because of the barbecue.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

Thank You for the kind thoughts xx

We were up early as three kids off to work at 6am. We were also awake at 12am as we released our rescued Hedgehog 8 months after he was found. He is four times his original weight and stands a good chance now.

We made a lovely crumble last night and I had it for brekkie. Oh well!

Hugs for a good day x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Hugs to those feeling poorly or under the weather, JackieO - glad you're ok and your DDs are on the mend.
Great sleep for you Headlight - hope that carries on.

Horribly busy at work last night, all rooms full and tons of washing, I'm back to do it all again tonight! Last week of school this week and then it's the summer holidays. My DB and SIL law are coming on Friday for the weekend so I will need to be organised for that.

Had people for a second viewing for the house yesterday, it has put me in a bit of a panic as I haven't even looked for anywhere else yet. I have now made a list of properties and will phone the estate agents tomorrow as they were all shut yesterday.

Washing up to date, house clean and tidy so a restful day for me today I hope. Take care. XX

Enjoy your walk with little Dog,
When I had my dog I use to love going out for hours on end with Him over local woodland and farm land.
Its been 10 years this year since I had him put to sleep,
When My wife and I moved into this house I wonted another Dog, But she wonted cats, So in the end that;s what we ended up with.
I shall have another dog after these two cats have past.
