• Good morning everyone :)

It's a late one for me but already have some jobs done. Beds stripped and in washing machine, just have to figure it out how to get it dry now. It's extremely windy but heavy showers are on and off by the minutes, so I don't trust the washing line.

DH is ironing his shirts for work then we are having a cooked breakfast. My favourite thing about low carb diets is being able to have a big plate of bacon, eggs, sausage and mushrooms.

Tried a glass of white wine with dinner last night but it tasted horrible. DH said it was delicious so it must be just changes in my taste, this happened last time I was in ketosis so diet is really working and I can't wait to get weighed on Tuesday.

The car is already full for the tip but need to see if it will go first. Another £120 spent yesterday and it now has a MOT but it won't start properly and keeps cutting out at traffic lights or even just at slow speeds. Got advice and was told it could be earth straps/cables so asked garage to have a look yesterday and they forgot. DH was very annoyed, it took them 4 hours longer than they said and they only did half the job. The guy he normally deals with was not there and now he says he isn't going there again.

Back to jobs and sorting out the ebay pile and Oxfam pile.

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super day :)

Morning :hello:

I put canes in for the broad beans over a week ago but haven't got round to cutting string to tie them up yet :D Will do that today.

I want to do a few ripple blankets but I hate doing the first row, it's so fiddly. So I decided to start all four blankets off to get it out of the way :D One is for our bed, thought it would be interesting to work out how many stitches I have to do for it. 392 chain then 65856 stitches  then more for the border  :D

Most important job of the day today is emptying the water out of the seed tray next to the chicken run. A little blackbird comes every day for a wash, I saw him just now but he won't get in because grass cuttings are floating in it :D We have a lovely old iron birdbath, we scrubbed the rust off, re-sprayed it and filled it with water but he won't use it.

Tenyearstogo I've just looked at your baby blanket, it's lovely  Your ripple is slighty different to mine, I'm going to try yours.

Hello everyone.

It's been sunny, then it gets cloudy then the sun comes out for a while.

I was hoping to dry the washing out on the line, but I'll probably end up doing it inside on the clothes horses, as I can't be doing with constantly watching for rain

Apart from that, it's ironing and eBaying, my usual weekend activities.

Yesterday I had someone open a not received case on eBay. I only posted it Tuesday. You'd hope the parcel would have got to them by Friday, but Saturday is surely too early to open the case! Grrrrrrrr !!

Have a good Sunday

DH is in the loft finishing the racking and flooring so that the stuff that we want to keep can go back up there, then the stuff for car booting can come down and the rest can be thrown. Luckily we have a huge loft that you can stand up in.
It will be nice to have everything sorted and hopefully make a little money that can go towards a holiday at the same time, unfortunately because DH works in a school we have to go in the school break and end up paying extortionate prices, which isn't easy on his rubbish wages
It is sunny at the moment but I don't know how long that is going to last, I have taken the risk and put some washing on the line.
Dinner is Chicken with Jersey potatoes, peas, carrots and broccoli with rhubarb brulee for dessert.
I have to go DH is bellowing at DS so I must go and be the umpire wpml_scratch.gif

Good Morning All

Been MIA again this week, just so darn busy, had loads of hours at 2nd job as manager was on holiday, got loads more this week as he is away at a course.......thinking of the money :rotfl:

Did a 10 hours shift last night and finished at 2am, just had brunch and feeling rather tired. Plan is to tidy my office desk at somepoint and at least half the ironing pile

Defrosted a chicken overnight and will have it roasted with all the normal trimmings, its definitely not barbecue weather here :(

(((Hugs))) to all that need/want one and get well wishes to anyone under the weather x

Very overcast today and showers threatening. :(

DGS stayed with us last night. Had a lovely morning playing with him, culminating in us having a bath. He is 3 and is a delightful, loving little boy. OH has now taken him to play in a soft play area cafe we have on our High Street. He loves playing with other children there.

DGS is toilet training and this week has obviously felt the signs and has taken to going to the toilet all by himself. He has a plastic stool he stands on and is very proud of himself. He went a step further this morning and did a poo all by himself, which got lots of praise from us.

September is a big month for me, big birthday and I retire. OH and I have decided on a very special (expensive) holiday to Canada. We will be travelling through the Rockies, doing various adventures such as glacier sleighing ( :snow_laug ), staying in a number of locations wildlife watching and finishing with a 7 day cruise to Alaska. It is a scary amount of money, which I paid yesterday, but I think we both deserve it! So can I pass the hat round? ;)

Afternoon all,

TTFTM, me and my hubby are back on the low carb way of eating. We were both doing very well on it a year ago, but over the last 4 months we got side tracked and it definitely shows in our health issues getting worse again. We had bacon, egg and sausage for our brunch and it was delicious!

Hubby is back at work tomorrow, so he is helping me tidy up the study (read: dumping room) today. It's amazing how much junk we keep finding. We have done so many charity shop/dump runs the last few months.

Tomorrow the plan is for me to get the house a quick once over and then I have Mount Paper Pile to go through and get started on a filing system. Oh joy!

Must go and help hubby.

Take care all.

Afternoon all.

Halight - so its you who stole my sleep  :p hope the girls enjoy their dancing.

Camelot - fingers crossed for second viewing

Jackie o - hope your dd's are feeling better

Nar - that holiday sounds great. We have been looking at a week in Spain for august next yr and for two adults, one child and one infant it would cost around 2000! That's all inclusive as the boys eat and drink non stop!

No much os happening. Strawberry plants are growing well. Had 6 ripe ones in the past two days and few more almost ready. Lots of green ones ad well. Tomatoes and runner beans are growing well too. Just general tidy and cooking going on otherwise.

The boys are growing well. Ds starts school in September and got visits in the next few weeks. He still doesn't seem old enough to me lol. Still a baby :o but he is ready for it. Nursery isn't challenging enough for him. He has picked up reading somewhere

The baby is on the verge of crawling. Gets on all fours then his arms give way . People have been driving mad by constantly telling me he's too big etc... He us a big lad but what can I do about that?! Those of you on my Fb will agree he is a chunk but I personally don't think he is massively overweight. He eats well and healthily with the occasional treat. He prob drinks less milk that most babies his age as he only has two bottles a day. He's healthy and happy so that's what matters. One woman at baby group had the cheek to tell me that he is fat! Then went off on one that those of us using baby jars of food might as well be poisioning our children. She has just assumed I am jar feeding him (wrong...) And that's why he is so big.

Anyway I'm ranting again :o hope everyone enjoys the rest of their Sunday.
